One of the questions I get asked the most is how to measure your wrist for a bracelet. While earrings and necklaces are pretty much one-size-fits-all, bracelets do come in different sizes and the problem is that most people don't know their wrist size. So I decided to make a video to take all the guesswork out of it! In this short clip you'll see two different methods for measuring your wrist — with or without a measuring tape — plus how you should use the measurement to choose the correct size bracelet. Watch the video and then read on for more bracelet fit tips!
Hope that helped! Now that you know how to measure your wrist, you still need to figure out which bracelet size to order.
Common Mistakes when Ordering a Bracelet
Mistake #1) Ordering a bracelet in your wrist size
Instead consider how you want the bracelet to fit and order that size. For example: I have a 6" wrist and when I want a small bracelet to sit right at my wrist comfortably (like a seed bead bracelet), I'll make it 6.5". But if it's a chunky bracelet and I want to wear a stack of them (like the wood and heishi bead bracelets), I'll go for a size medium (6.75" - 7").
Mistake #2) Guessing your wrist size
Now that you know how to measure properly I know you're not going to make that mistake again, right? Of course if you do, I offer exchanges and I'll make you a new one to make sure it's perfect but that's no fun for anyone! Don't you just want the right fit the first time?
